To Hear the Hollow Wind (No particular recommended place in the reading order of books)
Full of ambition and desiring to prove himself as a warrior, Zhao Yun arrives at Saokoshen Temple with the intent to kill one of the legendary Jinzhe dwelling in the valley beyond its doors. Turned away from the Temple, he must find his own way into the valley, where he meets a fate vastly different from the one he expected.
Progress on book 5 is going well - I have finished the prologue and the first twenty five chapters. I am planning to start writing another short story soon, this one set in Shijieng in the southern portion of the continent of Ekkiji. This map is overkill as far as that story is concerned, given that it will only occur in the mountains surrounding Saokoshen Temple, but I intend to eventually draw maps for all parts of Daea so I went ahead and drew this before starting on the story.
To Feed the Sun (No particular recommended place in the reading order of books)
The Wild Sands. A sun-drenched desert shadowed by its dark, terrifying reputation, this remote stretch of rolling dunes also holds the allure of tantalizing legend. None who venture far into its domain return to tell the tale, yet Zaki somehow believes he will find a different fate. A merchant chasing dreams of pioneering trade with the tribe rumored to live in a paradise between the Wild Sands and the mountains, he sets off in search of the truth and finds…
Book 4 is now finished, and the new year will bring with it two exciting developments! I will begin the process of commissioning the cover art for book 2, which will be released in May, as well as dive right into book 5. In preparation for the latter, I have drawn a new map for the desert nation of Se-isi on the eastern portion of the Continent of Aekiren.
Abyss Unending (Best if read after A Scourge Awakened)
A city of glass held by a tangle of enormous vines growing from a immense pit in the ground, Geun'yushi is one of Daea's greatest secrets and most awe-inspiring wonders. Yen-Hwi, an older acolyte in Geun'yushi Temple, harbors a deep-seated resentment over the monks' refusal to fully raise her into their ranks, granting her access to the mysteries waiting beneath the city. The arrival of an old friend pushes her to shun tradition and pass through the Gate Below, where she finds...
